Too many layoffs? No one around when you need help with Domino or Notes? My outsourced administration service fills this need.

I manage user accounts, solve security issues, set up and troubleshoot email infrastructures, fix routing and replication problems, correct broken connection documents, install new applications, perform version upgrades, and do whatever it takes to keep your Domino/Notes system running smoothly.

I am available for both on-site support and remote system administration from my office in Woburn, MA. Remote administration is a well-developed feature of Domino, and I take advantage of it whenever possible. Why? It is much less expensive for my clients. I often can diagnose and fix a problem within 15 minutes of your phone call or email to me. With remote administration, you get faster problem resolution at lower cost.

Do I know what I'm doing? Yes, I do. I have more than 15 years of experience with Domino and Notes. I was one of the first development managers for these products at Lotus, overseeing the Notes C-language API kit. I know Domino and Notes from the inside out. I run DominoSecurity.org as a service to the Domino/Notes community and serve as a resident expert at SearchDomino.com.

Can you trust me? Yes, you can. I have been in the software field for more than 20 years. I own a home in the Boston area and have a fully incorporated consulting business. I have taught computer science at Boston University and publish articles regularly on computer topics. I have no reason to break your trust and every reason to earn it.

Response Time -- For remote support during normal business hours, I usually can look at your problem immediately. We also can arrange for prompt off-hours remote support. For on-site support, I usually can schedule this within a couple days. For on-site emergencies, I will try to get there within 24 hours.

Billing -- I charge a flat hourly rate for all administration work. I bill in 0.1 hour increments, with no minimum charge per incident. So you can call me twice a year or five times a day, and pay only for work I actually perform. In addition to checks, I now accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.

Getting Started -- Establishing a remote administration connection usually takes about one hour, and I do not charge for this time. The usual method is for your organization to create a Notes ID for this purpose, which you can monitor and revoke at any time. I then set up my computers to use the ID to connect to your servers.
